Alice Koswara and I have a duo art show opening at Brass Tacks SF in August. We've lived in Hayes Valley for more than a decade. Since we're longtime Hayes Valley residents, we drew inspiration from the neighborhood we call home.

Not long after I moved to San Francisco, I met Alice Koswara through Myspace. We fell for each other pretty hard. She’s an accomplished painter and creative director, and a huge influence on my craft.
Alice is an artist and creative director based in San Francisco. She began her artistic journey in 2009 and has since exhibited her work in galleries and shops across the U.S. and internationally. Her artwork features expressive portraits, animals, landscapes, and abstract forms, using mediums such as watercolor, sumi ink, acrylic, and gouache.
Alice earned her BFA in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2001. Her background in design strongly influences her painting style, blending detailed illustration with bold colors and abstract elements.
